THE COURSE - HOLE BY HOLE |
![]() |
Hole 17 Don't relax if you've parred 16. The 17th is a truly remarkable hole and a real test of the golfing brain. An elevated tee provides excellent views of the first 300 yards. With the fairway bending left to right and sloping gently the same way, care must be taken to find the left of the fairway to avoid being blocked out. Most golfers can swing their entire bag at the second shot, but "long hitters" be warned, water is looming! Once past the fairway cross bunker there is 198 yards to the green. Lay up or go for it? Before you make up your mind you may like to know the profile of this green matches those at Augusta and only "Masters" two putt. The chances are high that you'll still remember this hole long after your visit to Preston, lets hope those memories are fond. |
