Hole 2 After a gentle opening the round starts in earnest. Played from an elevated tee, this is an excellent driving hole. You drive across a stream and valley, with out-of-bounds along the right. When the prevailing wind blows it's advisable to aim left at the fairway bunker some 201 yards from the tee and expect to see the drive drift to the centre of the fairway. The tee is protected to the left by trees impeding a controlled fade. A safe tee shot is only half the battle because the elevated green is protected by small hills and trees on either side with only the upper half of the flag visible. The green slopes from back to front offering little prospect of a birdie. It's advisable to be putting from below the pin. Be warned! |
