This is a very demanding hole which plays at right angles to the prevailing westerly wind. The ideal tee shot is to the right of the fairway, avoiding a bunker on the left some 240 yards from the tee. The large kidney shaped green is protected by deep yawning bunkers, "Howies Tarn" also waits to catch a pulled second shot. Consistently the most demanding hole on the course requiring all round good golf to record a par.
