Why people join Preston GC

The principle reason that people become members at Preston Golf Club is the stunning and excellently maintained course, recognised by England Golf as a suitable venue for championship golf. The extensive parkland setting provides golfers with a highly enjoyable golfing challenge, a tranquil area for play and stunning views of the course – especially from the higher tees on either side of the streamlined dip.

The fairways are generally flat but intermingled amongst these are holes of varying inclination – but none so steep that they should deter golfers of any age or ability, and buggies are available for those who feel they need them.

Head Greenkeeper Dan Ibison and his team receive high praise for keeping the course in fantastic condition and especially the greens, which always play well, whatever the time of year.

Supporting the course is an excellent on-site Academy, with indoor and outdoor areas for coaching and practice of all types. Superb professionals support this facility, enabling access to excellent coaching for players at all stages of their golfing life. Associations with other James Braid courses, the 1892 club and county wide courses, further complement the overall golfing package by introducing a range of other courses that are accessible at discounted rates.

Preston Golf Club is easily accessible from every direction and is just a 10 minute drive from junction 31a of the M6 or junction 1 of the M55. The very large on-site car park offers ample space for both players and visitors to the Academy.
