Lady Captain - Mrs Gill Moore
 | Been a member at Preston Golf Club since 1997 having taken up golf the year before as an escape from busy life as Veterinary Surgeon in mixed Practice based in Woodplumpton.
In 2014 became Lady Captain not an easy task as that was "equality" year but enjoyed it enough to have accepted the honour a second time.
Have been on the on committee of Lancashire County Senior Ladies Golf Association and delighted that Preston Golf Club will be hosting the Northern Counties Veterans Ladies Golf Associations Northern Championship this year, another honour for the club after the success of the English Senior Womens Strokeplay Championship last year.
Have represented Preston Ladies teams at Scratch, Handicap and Miller level over the years and hope the standard of my golf allows me to continue to do so for as long as possible.
Outside of golf, married to Dave, a non golfer but always a great support to me and when not golfing like to get away in our camper van as much as possible, especially to stay in Spain over the winter months.
Our Ladies section at Preston may be small in numbers but I am proud of the way they represent our club and will support them to the best of my ability this year.

President - Mr Peter Snape
 | Pete joined the club in 1967 and became a member of the Winter League in 1969. During that time, Pete has seen many changes both on and off the course. There were greens based on clay, trees that were just shrubs and a clubhouse that was permanently filled with a blue smoky haze. How very different from today!
Pete has had a strong involvement with the North Lancashire Junior Golf Association which began in the early 1990s and still part of that Association today.
Pete is looking forward to encouraging the togetherness of the club and representing the club both internally and externally to the best of his ability. |
