Captain - Mr Tony Betteridge
 | Tony is a Proud Prestonian and has been a member of Preston golf club for 15 years. He has previously served on the clubs council for 5 years. He has been an employee of the local authority, Preston City Council, for over 30 years. Tony is married to Louise, they have two children, Emily and Will. He looks forward to promoting and representing his hometown golf club to the best of his abilities. |

Lady Captain - Mrs Penny Beckett
 | Penny has been a member of Preston Golf Club for 35 years. In 2005 she was Ladies Captain whilst working full time as a Science (Physics) teacher at Carr Hill High School, Kirkham a position she held for 34 years. She served on the ladies committee from 1998 2007, for most of that time as competition secretary. In 2020/21 she was honoured to be Club President, only the 2nd woman in the history of the Club to hold that position. She is also a member of the Lancashire County Senior Ladies Golf Association Committee helping to organise competitions in the county. She has represented to club as captain of the handicap team, playing in county competitions and in national competitions, reaching the last 32 of the Daily Mail Foursomes in 2019. It is a great honour to be invited to be Ladies Captain again in 2023 in what will be a very special year when we host the English Senior Womens Strokeplay Championship. |

President - Mr Nigel Davey
 | Nigel has been a member at Preston for just over 26 years. Serving on council since 2012 in a number of positions. Firstly as greens chairman and then in 2016 became the clubs first Chairman. He also chaired the clubs land sale committee until a successful sale was agreed in 2018. Playing most of his golf, until more recently, from a handicap of 7. Nigel has represented the club in both the P&D team and latterly is a member of the Ribble Valley seniors team. He has also won the men's singles knockout title and the club foresomes. Prior to golf becoming his main leisure activity Nigel was a useful cricketer representing the MCC on more than 25 occasions and played against New Zealand at the start of their tour in 1986.
Nigel and his wife Rona celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 2022.

Junior Captain - Connor Wood
 | Connor is extremely proud to have been given the opportunity to be Junior Captain at Preston Golf Club for 2023. He has been a member for 7 years and has represented the junior team for the past three years. He attended Grimsargh Primary School, Archbishop Temple High School and is currently attending Cardinal Newman College studying Business and plans to move on to University. Connor has had numerous successes whilst a Junior, culminating in winning the Adam Scott Trophy in 2022. His aim personally is to work hard at his game trying to get to a single figure handicap but more importantly is too help with the growth of the Junior section. As junior captain he will be hosting a Charity day for the benefit of underprivileged children. At Preston GC we have shown how generous we can be and so he hopes he can rely on your support with his endeavours. Connor is delighted to represent Preston Golf Club juniors and plans to uphold our great reputation over the next year as it will be his final year as a junior. He looks forward to his responsibilities and plans to make the most of it.
