2024 Northern Counties Veteran Ladies' Golf Association Championship
between 21st-23rd May 2024.

Our club is very proud to be chosen from among many contenders to host the Northern Counties Vets Ladies Championship during May 2024.
The field was made up of the best Lady Vets from across the Northern Counties which includes:
- Lancashire
- Yorkshire
- Cheshire
- Cumbria
- Northumberland
- Durham
Once again we have received tremendous feedback about the quality of our offering at PGC, from the course, the range facilities, professional shop and food & beverage.
These are events that offer us great exposure to golfers from across the North of England and most definitely enhance our position in the standing of clubs involved with County and England Golf.
This is yet another prestigious event for Preston GC, it builds on the club's successful hosting of national competitions like The Reid Trophy and even International events like England v Spain U16's plus several other Lancashire Golf and other regional events.
Congrats to Penny Beckett who was in the prizes on Tuesday, being a member of the winning team (see pic 1) which included Gill Jolleys and Mary Singleton, shooting -4 under nett between them.
Further congratulations to the Preston trio (see pic 2) of Penny Beckett, Lady Captain Gill Moore and Alison Stringfellow who won the Wednesday team stableford competition.
Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers from within the Club who supported the event and ensured it's smooth running and thereby it's eventual success.
