The President's Charity Golf Event took place on Sunday 24th September 2023.

The day raised  a whopping £5716 - well done and thanks to all players, supporters and organisers for a great effort.

The cheque was presented to Claire Davies (widow of Russell) at a small ceremony with the Captain also in attendance.

Information about the Event:

This year the recipient charity is the British Heart Foundation.

This was an easy and obvious choice for two reasons. Firstly the clubs sad loss of Russell Davies and from a personal point of view the loss of Rona's father Jim in similarly sad circumstances some years ago.

I have spoken with Russell's family who are delighted with this choice.

The event will be a 4 person team event.

The entry fee will be £100 per team with a winners prize value in excess of £400.

BRS booking will go live on Wednesday 26th July from 7.50pm.

Advance bookings can be made via the office now.

Players, which can include members guests, must have a current WHS handicap index.

The day will also include fund raising auctions, raffles, putting competition etc.

Already in the clubhouse is the 100 square WOBURN FOURBALL BOARD and entry into that draw can be made the next time you visit the club.

Last year your generosity help us raise £5k for the local sporting memories charity and hopefully you will all get behind this year event so we can provide British Heart Foundation with a significant donation and remember our dear friend Russell and for us our family member Jim.
