Some comments & feedback we've received recently . . .

I would like to provide some feedback regarding my recent experience at Preston GC.
I had purchased a 4-ball voucher at a Charity event and hoped the course would be worthy of the donation.
I need not have worried, from the outset Andrew was very accommodating in rearranging my initial tee time to another due to inclement weather and then - what can i say abouth the course.
Absolutely terrific condition from start to finish!
A real joy to play so much so i had to relay to you my appreciation.
Thanks for a great day - July 2023

Heading south to Carden Park in Cheshire for a competition so we stopped just off the M6 at Preston Golf Club. This was my first golf trip over the border, so this would also be the first English course for me. And we definitely picked a good one. Thanks to @smithy100golf for the recommendation and joining us for the round. Preston is a really nice parkland course with loads of variety. There's 2 or 3 holes in the middle that go a bit up and down but for the rest your walking on the tee with no idea what's next. The 2nd, 9th, 10th and 17th are excellent driving holes. All playing from elevated tees and with the criss-cross cut fairways look brilliant. The stand out hole would be the long downhill par 3 14th. Hitting extremely downhill to a large green protected by 7 bunkers and playing tough into the wind. The starter in the shop was really helpful and friendly even if he didn't like our fake Scottish money :) Probably one of the best parkland courses I've played and definitely one I would return to. Also a very good location to split up the drive for travelling between Scotland and England.

Head Greenkeeper Jonny Roberts is at the top of his game and he did a fantastic job to get the Preston course in amazing condition. The phenomenal greens were cut and ironed for our players. They were also incredibly fast considering the rain that has fallen. Other courses in the area were underwater but this class green keeper doesn't know the meaning of a 'course closed' sign - brilliant.

'Those Greens were magnificent!' was reported by the Cheshire Senior Captain.

Another regular player announced that it was 'The best course I've played in a while'. At the half-way house the superb sausage rolls were the talk of the day!

Registration for today's event was in the driving range academy so I had the pleasure of working alongside Head Pro Andy Greenbank. He was great company and a huge help to me and my players. Thanks to a top, top professional.

Played in Festival Week Open, Wonderful course, Catering first class, Bar Staff friendly and efficient as if all that wasn't enough as we journeyed home the FULL results were already posted on the website. Brilliant day so well run we'll be back next year.
